Detergent Removal Systems

Detergent Removal Systems Choose from a variety of detergent removal systems.
The Detergent-OUT™ is a simple and high performance method for removing a wide variety of detergents, such as Triton, NP-40, Tween-20, CTAB, CHAPS, Lubrol and deoxycholate from protein solutions. Detergent-OUT™ removes detergents without significant loss of proteins, dilution of the protein solution, or change to the buffer composition of the protein solution.
Our Detergent-OUT™ SDS-300 kit is a simple method for removing free detergents from protein solutions with higher performance than equilibrium dialysis, electro-dialysis or other ion exchange methods. This method removes free detergents without substantial loss or dilutions of the protein solution. The Detergent-OUT™ method is capable of achieving molar ratio of protein: SDS to 1:1.
The OrgoSol Detergent-OUT™ kit has been specifically developed for removing all types of detergent from protein solution. OrgoSolDetergentOUT™ can be used for removing ionic, non-ionic and cationic detergents and also suitable for removing detergents from hydrophobic proteins.
Detergent-OUT™ GBS10 Detergents are essential for protein solubility during protein extraction and sample preparation, especially when working with hydrophobic proteins. The presence of high concentrations of detergents in protein samples can impair ELISA, IEF, protease digestion of proteins, and suppress peptide ionization when analyzed by mass spectrometry.
DetergentOUT™ GBS10 features a research grade detergent binding resin that has a high affinity for most detergents and a low affinity for proteins and peptides. DetergentOUT™ GBS10 is ideal for detergent removal prior to ELISA, IEF, protease digestion of proteins, and peptide ionization when analyzed by mass spectrometry.
DetergentOUT™ GBS10 is available in four spin format column sizes or as resin alone. The column specifications are:
Our DetergentOUT™ GBS10 resin removes free, unbound anionic, nonionic or zwitterionic detergents (e.g. SDS, Triton? X-100 or CHAPS) from aqueous protein and peptide samples with minimal sample loss (Table below) for downstream analysis by mass spectrometry (Figure 1 & 2) and other techniques.
The DetergentOUT™ GBS10 columns were shown in independent studies to be fully compatible with DI-QTOF and LC-MS/MS (see references). The use of the DetergentOUT™ GBS10 columns significantly increased the number of peptide spectra detected (Figure 1 & 2).
In addition, the DetergentOUT™ GBS10 columns have a high binding capacity for detergents, with 6 milligrams SDS (Figure 3) and 14 milligrams Triton? X-100 for every milliliter of settled resin.

OrgoSol Detergent-OUT™ OrgoSol DetergentOUT™ is suitable for removal of detergents from protein solutions, including hydrophobic protein solutions. OrgoSol DetergentOUT™ is compatible with all detergent types and its performance is not dependent on the concentration of detergents in the solution. OrgoSol DetergentOUT™ is highly flexible and can be used to process small and large sample volumes.
OrgoSol DetergentOUT™ first concentrates the protein solution through precipitation and then the detergent is extracted and removed with the supplied OrgoSol™ buffer. The proprietary precipitation agent ensures >99% protein recovery, however precipitation may result in some loss of a protein's biological activity.
Two sizes are offered for single or multiple experiments: • Micro Kit for processing up to a total of 10ml protein solution • Medi kit for processing up to a total of 30ml protein solution

DetergentOUT™ Tween? DetergentOUT™ Tween? is a spin column format detergent removal resin for polysorbate or Tween? detergents or surfactants. DetergentOUT™ Tween? removes polysorbate detergents without significant loss of proteins, dilution of the protein solution, or change to the buffer composition of the protein solution. For other detergents, we highly recommend our new DetergentOUT™ GBS10 columns and resin. The DetergentOUT™ GBS10 shows greater efficiency of detergent removal and protein recovery for other detergents, including SDS, CHAPS, Triton, Nonidet and Brij
Feature • For the removal of Tween? detergents
