Protein description

The VCA-domains of members of the Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome family protein, like

WAVE (WASP family verprolin homologous) activate in vitro the nucleation ability

of arp 2/3, which is itself a constitutively inactive complex. The recombinant

VCA-domain is supplied as GST-tagged peptide (~35 kDa) expressed in E. coli,

purified on GST-Sepharose further column purified bt gel filtration.

Purification notes

The recombinant VCA-domain is supplied as GST-tagged peptide (~35 kDa)

expressed in E. coli, purified on GST-Sepharose further column purified by gel

filtration. The protein can detected with anti-GST antibodies using suited

immunological detection systems.

Storage instructions

GST-VCA is stored at -70°C upon arrival will be stable in performance for at least

6 months from the date of purchase. The Solubilized protein is kept on ice and

should be stored at -20°C in glycerol or Cryoprotect (Cat.#: 6011-01). Avoid repeated

freeze / thaw cycles.
