EV-Spinner, ultrafiltration concentrator MWCO 100 kDa
EV-Spinner is a 2.5 ml non-stick ultrafiltration (UF) concentrator to enhance the recovery of extracellular vesicle (EVs) during the concentration or buffer exchange step. The ultrafiltration works in the opposite direction to the centrifugal force, providing higher particle recovery. The low protein binding membrane (polyethersulphone) reduces the EV loss, compared to V-shape concetrators, and the reverse design of the EV-spinner ensures that the filter does not clog.
The EV-Spinner is the perfect solution for concentrating small volumes of samples, lower than 2.5 ml (up to 2.5 ml the sample can be concentrated with the TFF-Easy).
Main advantages compared to the V-shape concentrators • Non-stick • Filter membrane (polyethersulphone) is low binding compared to the V-shape concentrators that usually use cellulose or nitrocellulose. • Non-clogging. The filter is reusable more times than V-concentrators. The reusability depends on the sample used. • Easy recovery of the retentate.
Applications • Concentration of solutions containing EVs, exosomes or nanoparticles. • Concentration of diluted matrices as cell media or urine prior to EV isolation. • Removal of small molecules and unbound dyes from solution containing EVs/exosomes and nanoparticles. • EV and exosomes dialysis. • Concentration of EV suspensions post SEC isolation.
