Rat Major Tissue Frozen Sections
Zyagen offers the largest selection of frozen sections of almost all rat tissues. Tissues are snapped frozen or fixed frozen
in OCT blocks, sectioned at a thickness of 7-10 microns and mounted on positively charged slides or slides treated for
adhesion(2 sections per slide). Frozen section of tissues from mice perifused with cold 4% paraformaldehyde or buffered
formalin are also available upon request, contact technical service for availabilty.
Tissue sections are routinely made of Sprague Dawley rat tissues but we can also make tissue sections of other rat strains(inbred, outbred, mutant, hybrid, transgenic) upon request.
Frozen sections are shipped in tightly closed slide boxes or slide mailers on dry ice and are good for one year if properly
stored.
Applications: Frozen tissue sections are prepared in RNase-, protease-free environment and are ideal for
immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization.
