The Actin-Toolkit Microinjection all-in-one kit contains rhodamine conjugated α-actin to be microinjected into either normal or transfected cells. For this purpose purified actin was covalently labeled at Cys 374 with tetramethylrhodamine, leaving the polymerization properties of actin essentially unimpaired. Applications - Visualization of transfected actin binding proteins affecting the actin cytoskeleton;
- Study of the effects by injection of pre-formed ligand-actin complexes;
