Biotin-NHS ester is the most popular subclass of biotinylation reagent. These reagents enable simple and

efficient biotinylation of antibodies, proteins and any other primary amine-containing biomolecules. NHS-

activated biotin compounds can react efficiently with primary amino groups (-NH2) to form stable, irreversible

amide bonds.
