PRMT (Protein Arginine Methyltransferase) 1의 typeI homologue (# 820001) 또는 PRMT7의 type III homologue
(# 820002)의 recombinant 입니다. 펩티드, 단백질의 아르기닌을 메틸화시키는 활성형 효소입니다.
인간 PRMT7의 활성은 매우 낮지만, type III homologue는 PRMT7 중에 가장 활성이 높은 촉매 활성 부위를 포함하는 것으로 생각되고 있습니다. 본 제품 (# 820002)은 in vitro에서 PRMT7 기질을 screening 할 때 등에 유용합니다
 
 
PRMT1 (Type I Protein Arginine Methyltransferase)
 
Overview
PRMT1 is a recombinant type I protein arginine methyltransferase expressed as a fusion protein in bacteria. As supplied,
the enzyme is active and capable of methylating arginine acceptor sites in peptides and proteins under appropriate
incubation conditions.
 
Product Usage
In vitro methylation of proteins and peptides. A pilot assay is suggested to determine the amount of enzyme appropriate for the end user’s assay conditions. CH3 BioSystems has used 5 µl of this lot for detection of radioactive methyl
incorporation in a 24 µl assay volume and 15 µl of this lot for non-radioactive detection using Anti-mRG in a 30 µl assay
volume.
 
Testing
All lots of PRMT1 exhibit methyltransferase activity based on the conversion of an arginine-rich peptide to a
methylarginine containing peptide based on methylarginine-specific antibody reactivity. Arbitrary activity units based on a
standardized proprietary formula.
 
 
PRMT7 (Type III Protein Arginine Methyltransferase)
 
Overview

PRMT7 is a unique recombinant type III protein arginine methyltransferase expressed as a fusion protein in bacteria. As
supplied, the enzyme is extremely active (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19110445) and capable of
mono-methylation of arginine acceptor sites in peptides and proteins under appropriate incubation conditions.
 
Product Usage
In vitro methylation of proteins and peptides. A pilot assay is suggested to determine the amount of enzyme appropriate for the end user’s assay conditions. CH3 BioSystems has used 10 μl of this lot for detection of radioactive methyl
incorporation in a 24 μl assay volume.
 
Testing
All lots of PRMT7 exhibit methyltransferase activity based on the transfer of tritiated methyl from radiolabeled methionine to the arginine-rich methylation substrate (#830002 Arginine-Rich Peptide).
