Immunofluorescent studies indicate expression of transcription factors (Sox2, Oct4, Nanog) as well as

surface proteins (Tra1-81 and Tra1-60) characteristic for iPS cells. Furthermore, Celther iPS cells retain the

ability to differentiate to cells originating from all three germ layers. Induced pluripotent stem cells have been

Immunofluorescence studies indicate expression of NSC markers: Sox2 and Nestin.

Under appropriate conditions (culture in medium with EGF and bFGF) iNS cells remain in undifferentiated

state, whereas withdrawal of growth factors causes spontaneous differentiation to neurons and glial.

Cardiomyocytes Celther Induced Cardiomyocytes (CLTH / Induced Cardiomyocytes)

Induced Cardiomyocytes are human cardiomyocytes derived from iPS cells through Celther proprietary

differentiation protocols. Immunofluorescence studies indicate expression of the alpha-myosin heavy chain

(Myh6). Induced Cardiomyocytes culture consist of beating areas containing contracting

cardiomyocytes.These human cardiac cells are specifically designed to aid drug discovery and improve the

predictability of drug efficacy and toxicity screens, weeding out ineffective and potentially toxic compounds

early in the pharmaceutical pipeline process before significant time and resources have been invested.

Celther Astrocytes (CLTH / Astrocytes)

Celther Human Astrocytes are normal human cells derived from human induced neural stem cells.

Astrocytes are glial cells found in the brain and spinal cord that play a critical role in maintenance, support,

and repair of nervous tissue. They regulate the extracellular ionic and chemical environment, respond to

CNS injury, and play a fundamental role in the pathogenesis of ischemic neuronal death. When used together

with Celther Astrocyte Medium, Celther Human Astrocytes are highly mature and differentiated GFAP positive

cells with the typical star-like morphology. Normal Human Astrocytes (NHA) can be used to study the

function of the central nervous system and how neural cells interact.

Celther Neurons (CLTH / Neurons)

Celther has developed Celther human induced neurons derived from iPS cells. This readily and stably

available human neurons will have enormous contribution to understanding the mechanism of human

nervous system as well as provide a unique in vitro system for preclinical drug discovery, neurotoxicity

testing, predictive disease modeling, and basic cellular research .

Celther neural cell products and services can be flexibly tailored for the customers' needs by genetic

manipulation, making patient-derived neurons or any other collaborations.

These cells quickly assume a typical neuronal morphology with branching neurites. Antibodies to MAP2 are

markers on neuronal cells, their perikarya and neuronal dendrites. In contrast tau is found predominantly in

neuronal axons. Celther Neurons are both MAP2 and TAU positive in immunocytochemical staining.

In addition, Celther neurons display a stable adherent single-cell morphology and remain viable for an

extended culture period (>=14 days), making them amenable to a variety of electrophysiology, neurotoxicity,

and synaptic neurotransmission assays. Easy to implement and available in commercial quantities, these

high quality, highly pure neurons are are cryopreserved at passage one. Once thawed, Celther neurons

remain viable for extended culture periods, allowing for acute and chronic studies.
